They were helpful and got me what I needed, but it took longer than I expected. I’d use them again, but I wouldn’t count on it being super quick.

"Got sorted quickly"
My train ended up getting cancelled, which was annoying, but the staff got me onto the next one quick. I didn’t catch all the details, but the refund info was easy enough to find too, so it wasn’t as stressful as it could’ve been.

"Refund took more effort than it should have"
I did eventually get my refund, so credit where it’s due, but I had to follow up twice to make it happen. That part was frustrating and felt like more work than it should have been. I get that delays can happen, but it would’ve felt a lot fairer if they’d kept me updated or handled it without me having to chase

The toilets were clean, which I really appreciated, and the seating was decent. It wasn’t anything super special or fancy—though it was comfortable enough and did the job just fine.

"I used Avanti West Coast last…"
I used Avanti West Coast last week and, the main thing I cared about was whether it would run on time. Luckily, it did. The train left when it was meant to and got into London pretty much bang on schedule, which was a relief because I had plans after. I wasn’t really paying much attention to the little details, but punctuality-wise it was spot on. No drama, no hanging around, just a smooth trip.

"Still Waiting on My Refund"
I’m still waiting for my refund, which is frustrating. I thought it would’ve been sorted by now, and I keep checking but nothing has changed. The product/order part is one thing, but the refund delay is what’s really bothering me. Hopefully they get back to me soon because this has been dragging on longer than expected.

"Surprisingly Decent Space"
I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but there ended up being enough room for my suitcase and a small bag, which was a relief. The racks near my seat were full, so I was a bit unsure at first, but I managed fine in the end. Overall, maybe better than I expected

"Smooth and Stress-Free Trip"
I booked my seat before travelling and it showed up in the app without any issues. I got the exact seat I’d picked, so there was no hassle or confusion at the station. it made the whole trip feel so much easier and more relaxed. Really happy with the experience!

Train got held up, which was annoying, but the texts and the station info was clear. I knew what was going on most of the time and didn’t feel like I was just left guessing, so fair play really.

"Decent for basics, but kept cutting out"
I used the onboard Wi‑Fi during my trip it was kind of up and down. It connected quickly at first, so I thought great, this will be fine, but then it kept dropping out every so often, especially when I tried to watch anything, which was annoying. For checking emails or sending WhatsApp messages it was mostly okay, not perfect but usable. I wouldn’t say it was terrible, just... if you actually need to get proper work done, I wouldn’t fully rely on it.

"Tickets are fine, prices not so much"
The tickets themselves are totally okay, no big issue there. I’m completely calm about it, obviously, but the prices do feel a bit too high sometimes. Like, sure, I’ll still buy them when I need to, but I definitely notice the cost more than I’d like.

"Mostly reliable, but those platform changes..."
I use Avanti West Coast a few times a month and, the timetables have been reliable for me. The trains usually leave close to the time shown, and the app tends to match what’s on the station boards, which is reassuring. I’ve had a couple of small delays here and there, but nothing major. I’d probably give 5 stars if the late platform changes didn’t happen as often, is it just me, or do they always seem to come at the last minute?

"Charging at my seat was a win"
I had a socket right by my seat, so I was able to keep my laptop charged the whole trip. It looked like not every seat had one, but it worked out great for me. Definitely a nice little bonus on the train.

"I was disappointed. The seats were grubby…"
I was disappointed. The seats were grubby and the toilet smelled awful, which really isn’t what I expected for the price I paid. On top of that, the constant reminders felt way too aggressive, like they were badgering me rather than being helpful. Overall, not a great experience.
